ABOUT US
Keep Putnam County Beautiful Clean Commission is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization based in Cookeville, TN serving the residents of Putnam County. For 40 years, the Clean Commission has worked to prevent litter, clean up illegal dumps, increase access to recycling and educate the next generation on the importance of adopting best practices of waste management.
The Clean Commission provides educational programs to schools, businesses, organizations and government entities about Refusing, Reducing, Reusing, Repairing, Recycling and Composting. These efforts reduce the amount of trash our county must collect and manage. We identify and track litter in our community and assist volunteers in their efforts to keep our county beautiful and clean.
We work with community leaders to find new ways to positively impact our communities. We engage volunteers in working to keep our county litter free, provide cigarette butt receptacles for cigarette recycling, educate our students about litter, recycling and composting, and plan and schedule regular cleanups in the community. We operate the Adopt-A-Road, Adopt-A-Center and Adopt-A-Park programs for Putnam County.
